Price per milligram is the box price divided by the milligrams in the box, and the milligrams in the box are the strength of one vial times the number of vials. Nothing else belongs in it: not freight, which is included here from $1,000.00 an order and quoted separately below that, and not a discount tier, which moves the price and not the arithmetic.
Worked on a line from this list: Glutathione 1500mg x 10 vials is $40.51 a box. The box holds 10 vials of 1500 mg, so 1500 times 10 is 15000 mg in the box, and $40.51 divided by 15000 is $0.003 per mg.
The trap the figure exists to catch is that a bigger vial is almost always cheaper per milligram, because the vial, the fill, the stopper and the testing cost about the same whatever the vial holds. A quote that looks cheap per box can be the dearest thing on the page per milligram.

What a price comparison leaves out
Per milligram compares the price. It does not compare the article, and four things sit outside it that decide whether two quotes are the same thing at all. Freight, which attaches to an order rather than to a milligram: it is included here from $1,000.00 and quoted by the carrier below that. The minimum, because a low per-milligram figure on a quantity you cannot use is not a saving. The release specification, which is what the batch had to meet before it shipped: purity by RP-HPLC, the limit on any single related substance, water, acetate. And whether a certificate comes with the batch at all, tied to the number on the box.

Where a price comparison website gets its numbers
A comparison is worth exactly what its inputs are worth, and most of the peptide price comparisons on the web are typed in by hand from storefronts that have moved on since. This shop publishes its own list as data so nobody has to do that: prices.csv and prices.json carry every line, its code, its strength, its box price and its per-unit price, with the date the list was last revised. Both are the same rows this page calculates from.

Questions about price per milligram
How do I work out the price per mg of a peptide?
Divide the price of the box by the number of milligrams in the box. The milligrams in the box are the strength of one vial times the number of vials, so a box of ten 10 mg vials holds 100 mg. Freight and any discount are left out of it: they change what you pay, not what a milligram costs at list.
Why compare per milligram rather than per vial?
Because a vial is not a fixed quantity. A 2 mg vial and a 10 mg vial are both one vial, and the second holds five times as much, so per vial compares nothing. Per milligram is the only figure that puts two different strengths, or two different suppliers, on the same scale.
Why is a bigger vial usually cheaper per mg?
The vial, the stopper, the fill, the labelling and the release testing cost about the same whatever the vial holds, so those fixed costs are spread over more milligrams as the strength goes up. On this list the effect is large: the best-priced line works out at $0.003 per mg and the dearest at $31.160.
Does the calculator send my figures anywhere?
No. The arithmetic runs in the page, in your browser, and nothing you type is submitted or stored. The page works the same with scripts switched off, minus the two input columns.
Does this include shipping?
