Privacy

We keep what running a trade account needs and nothing for advertising. Here is the whole of it.

Kept

Account details. Business name, contact name, email, phone, country, and the delivery addresses you save. Team members you add and their roles.

Trading records. Orders, quotes, invoices, the batch numbers shipped to you, and any credit application.

A password, stored as a salted scrypt hash. We cannot read it or tell you what it is.

A usage record. Which pages a visitor opens and for how long, where the visit came from, what was searched or clicked, what went into a basket and how far a checkout went. It is keyed to a random identifier this site stores in your browser; the network address is kept only as a salted hash. The desk reads it to run the desk. Nobody else does.

Not kept, not done

No third-party analytics, no advertising pixels, no profiling, no sale or sharing of your details for marketing.

Why

To take, fulfil and invoice orders, and to trace which batch went to which account if a batch ever has to be recalled. Traceability is the reason trading records outlive an account. The legal basis is the contract between us and our legitimate interest in being able to trace a batch.

Who else sees any of it

The carrier sees the delivery address and contact on a shipment. Customs sees a commercial invoice where one is needed. A payment processor sees a payment. The site is delivered through Cloudflare and its fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so each sees a connection, as any host does, and neither sees what you order or who you are.

How long

Trading records for seven years, which tax and traceability require. Contact details until you ask us to close the account, after which only what is attached to trading records remains. Retained samples of a batch, twelve months from dispatch. A sign-in session, fourteen days.

Cookies

One cookie keeps you signed in. If you arrive on a referral or campaign link, one more first-party cookie records which link it was, for up to sixty days, holding the link's name and a click number and nothing about you. The usage record's identifier lives in your browser's local storage. Nothing from a third party.

Your rights

Ask for a copy of what we hold, ask for a correction, or ask us to close the account and delete what we are not obliged to keep. Write from the address on the account and expect an answer within thirty days.
