A thirty-residue GHRH-derived chain against a five-residue synthetic amide, and they are handled quite differently. CJC-1295 is modified GRF 1-29 carrying a drug affinity complex at position 30, CAS 863288-34-0, with no calculated mass on its sheet, so its identity is quoted on the batch certificate. Ipamorelin is a pentapeptide growth-hormone secretagogue amide built from residues that are not standard, Aib and a 2-naphthylalanine among them, C38H49N9O5 at 711.9, CAS 170851-70-4. The DAC group on CJC-1295 is reactive and hydrolyses in water, so that line is stored dry and made up only when it is used and its certificate has to show the complex intact; ipamorelin has no tryptophan and nothing in it to oxidise, and its purity figure barely moves. One strength of CJC-1295 is listed against three of ipamorelin.
