GHK-Cu vs TB-500 (thymosin beta-4 acetate)

GHK-Cu is cheaper per mg: $0.036 per mg at its best-priced strength, 100mg (CU100) against $0.540 per mg for TB-500 at 10mg (TB10), 93 percent less. The two share no strength, and a milligram of one compound is not a milligram of the other, so these figures compare price, not amount of compound. GHK-Cu is offered in 2 strengths (50mg to 100mg), TB-500 in 3 (2mg to 10mg); 1 and 2 of those are on the shelf today.

What differs between GHK-Cu and TB-500

A copper complex of three residues against an acetylated chain of 43. TB-500 is the whole of thymosin beta-4, C212H350N56O78S at 4,963.5, and its one methionine, sixth in the chain, can oxidise to the sulfoxide, while its asparagine and three glutamines can deamidate. GHK-Cu, C14H22CuN6O4 at 401.9, has none of those residues; its blue comes from copper(II) bound by the glycine’s amino group, the amide nitrogen between glycine and histidine, and the histidine’s imidazole, and the copper figure for a batch is the desk’s to give. The two share a vial in GLOW70, GLOW50, KLOW80 and the Lemon Bottle blend, always 10mg of TB-500 beside 35 or 50mg of GHK-Cu.

Questions

What is the difference between GHK-Cu and TB-500?

A copper complex of three residues against an acetylated chain of 43. TB-500 is the whole of thymosin beta-4, C212H350N56O78S at 4,963.5, and its one methionine, sixth in the chain, can oxidise to the sulfoxide, while its asparagine and three glutamines can deamidate.

How far apart are GHK-Cu and TB-500 by mass?

4,561.6 units: 401.9 against 4,963.5. TB-500, with nine lysines, takes many charges in electrospray; its monoisotopic 5+ ion is m/z 993.105. GHK-Cu’s protonated ion is m/z 402.107 with 63Cu and 404.105 with 65Cu, the two copper isotopes. The cake differs too: GHK-Cu’s is blue, and a white one is the wrong compound.

Which vials hold both GHK-Cu and TB-500?

GLOW70 and KLOW80 put 10mg of TB-500 beside 50mg of GHK-Cu, GLOW50 beside 35mg, and the Lemon Bottle blend beside 50mg. Of the fills that hold peptides alone, TB-500 is an eighth of KLOW80’s, a seventh of GLOW70’s and a fifth of GLOW50’s, while GHK-Cu takes between five eighths and five sevenths. BPC-157 is in each of them, and KPV is in KLOW80.

Which is cheaper per mg, GHK-Cu or TB-500?

GHK-Cu, at $0.036 per mg for its best-priced strength, 100mg (CU100) against $0.540 per mg for TB-500 at 10mg (TB10), 93 percent less. The two share no strength, and a milligram of one compound is not a milligram of the other, so these figures compare price, not amount of compound.

Which comes in more strengths, GHK-Cu or TB-500?

TB-500, with 3 against 2. Every strength is a separate line with its own code, price and stock state.

Are GHK-Cu and TB-500 made to the same specification?

Yes: both are supplied to purity not less than 98.0 percent by RP-HPLC and net content within 5 percent of label, and each certificate reports those with a measured mass, matched to the calculated figure on each sheet. The retest date is on the batch record. What differs is each molecule’s own chemistry, described on its compound page.
